Corita Collections

Mickey’s Private Corita Kent Collection

My collection has been 70 years in the making, starting with the first print: a gift from Corita to my father in response to an article he wrote about contemporary (modernist) art in Churches.  Today, my entire collection of Corita prints, mementos, and specialty items includes works purchased and works received as gifts.  The largest portion of the collection was a bequest from Corita for my work as Artistic Executor of her Estate.

I am pleased to share Corita’s artwork from my collection, some of which is now quite rare.  As well, I am excited to share the stories behind the making of these works, which I hope will give insight into Corita’s practice and methods, whose relevance continues to grow all these years later.

I’ve divided the collection into two categories: The Permanent Collection, which features a selection of work across the spectrum of Corita’s career, most of which is considered rare and iconic to Corita followers; and The Capsule Collection, which features a curated selection of works that will rotate over time.

All works contained in these collections are available for purchase through Modica Carr Art Advisory.
